Moapa Valley Progress
The Moapa Valley Art Guild is pleased to announce that a Pencil Drawing Workshop will be held in the Art Room at The Old Logandale School on January 17, from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm. The workshop will be given by local artist, art teacher, and founder of the Moapa Valley Art Guild Max Bunnell.
Fifty years ago Bunnell taught at Moapa Valley High School and decided to start a Spring Art Show which brought the work of artists from all over the Southwest to Moapa Valley. This art show became a tradition in the area and has continued for many years. Max continued his painting and his teaching, being an art instructor at the College of Southern Nevada and at Dixie College in Southern Utah. His work is found in homes and galleries across the Southwest.
The cost of the workshop is $15 for members of the Moapa Valley Art Guild and $20 for those who are not members of the Guild. Anyone interested in attending this workshop please call Moapa Valley Art Guild secretary Alice Craghead at 397-6733. Craghead will give all the details regarding what supplies to bring to the workshop.
