Door To Door Sales Lands Man Citation
On Saturday, January 5, 2008 Metro was called to a Logandale residence reporting an individual attempting door to door sales. Officers came in contact with 25 year old Christopher Sands who was subsequently cited for Doing Business without a License. Sands is scheduled to appear in the Moapa Valley Justice Court on this charge.
Man Arrested On Felony Warrant
On Saturday, January 5, 2008 Metro observed a vehicle parked illegally at the Bunkerville Fire Station. A records check was conducted which showed the owner to have a Felony Warrant for Grand Larceny out of Lincoln County, Nevada. The owner, 57 year old Alejandro Vergara-Moreno was located inside the Bunkerville Community Center where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Clark County Detention Center. He will remain in the CCDC until extradited to Lincoln County. He is scheduled to appear in the Pahranagat Valley Justice Court on his charge.
Reckless Driving Ends In Arrest
On Wednesday, January 9, 2008 Officers observed a vehicle driving recklessly in Logandale which led to a traffic stop. Upon a records check, vehicle occupant 26 year old Brian Simmons was found to have two traffic warrants out of the North Las Vegas Municipal Court. Simmons was subsequently arrested, transported and released into the custody of North Las Vegas City Police, he will appear in the North Las Vegas Municipal Court at a later date. Another occupant, 21 year old Miranda Eaton was cited for Possession of Controlled Substance – Marajuana under 1oz and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She is scheduled to appear in the Moapa Valley Justice Court on those charges.
