Dorothy Louise Storick, age 78, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 in St. George, Utah. She was born May 5, 1929 in Ottawa, Illinois to Ralph David and Anna Margret Johnson Mumper. On March 14, 1947 she married Richard Charles Storick in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
Dorothy grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She raised her family in Southern California and moved to Overton in 1988. She spent many summers in Canada. She enjoyed the summers she spent on the road working a food concession at carnivals with her husband. As a young woman she enjoyed bowling in a league and she was a long time member of the Elks Lodge. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, reading and handicrafts. She was very proud of her grandson, Frankland who serves in the US Army, and her granddaughter, Julianne Wyman.
Survivors include her husband Richard of Overton, two sons and two daughters: Kristine Dunning of Sacramento, CA; Robert Charles of St. Louis, MO; Ronald Charles of Denver, CO; Penny Jean (Frank) Vallone of Overton, NV; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She had two brothers and one sister. Private family services will be held in her honor. Arrangements under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
