Daniel Rex Dimick, age 20, died Monday, February 4, 2008 at his home in Logandale, Nevada after fighting valiantly against cancer.
He was born September 24, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Vernon Rex and Lynda Kay Olsen Dimick. Daniel was raised in Moapa Valley from the age of 2œ. Daniel loved to be outside and he loved nature. His greatest joy came from finding and playing with animals, insects and reptiles. He loved fishing and hunting and exploring. He earned his Eagle Scout Award and he was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Daniel had a love for reading, but often struggled with writing, only since his cancer diagnosis has the family realized a tumor was impeding on that part of the brain for many years. His illness and struggle with cancer has brought his family closer together. It also brought understanding to Daniel, and helped him to draw closer to his Father in Heaven.
Survivors include his parents: Vern and Lynda; two brothers and one sister: Angela Marette, Jared James and Hayden Scott all of Logandale, NV; grandparents: Roy & Beth Olsen of Las Vegas, NV and Darlene Gentry of Overton, Nevada.
Funeral services were Friday, February 8, 2008 at the Logandale LDS Stake Center. Interment was in the Logandale Cemetery.
