Due to the storm and the power outage on Wednesday night, the Moapa Valley Town Advisory Board meeting was canceled. The storm started between 5:30 and 6 pm and the power went out shortly after the hour.
“Matt LaCroix and I were there before the meeting started,” said Town Advisory Board Chairwoman Judy Metz. “We decided that with the power out and the weather so bad that for the sake of public safety we should cancel the meeting.” Board member Guy Doty and Board Vice-chair Rik Eide were at the Overton Community Center in time for the meeting uncertain if the meeting was going to happen.
The agenda of the meeting called for discussion and action on the Logandale Town Square project and a briefing on traffic among other things. These items will be pushed to the agenda of the next Board meeting.
