Moapa Valley Progress
The Moapa Valley Town Advisory Board (MVTAB) will meet tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Overton Community Center.
The Board will discuss and item regarding a proposed letter from the MVTAB to Omega Vista regarding the Logandale Town Square Project.
The Board will also hear a briefing regarding traffic issues during work on the Wastewater Ponds in Overton.
The Board will also hear a presentation regarding the Park Police assigned to the area. The Board will hear a zoning item brought by Beazer Homes. The request is for a Zone Change First Extension Of Time to reclassify 40.0 acres from R-U (Rural Open Land) Zone to R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone for a single family residential development. Beazer will also request a Waiver of Development Standards for the following: 1) reduce lot area; and 2) increase block length. The project is located on the northeast corner of Whipple Avenue and Mateuse Street in Logandale.
The Board will hear zoning requests from Glendale Holdings LLC. The developer will present its Public Facilities Needs Assessment and its Specific Plan for approval by the Board. The major project, entitled Riverview, is proposed to encompass 1,462 acres in the Glendale/Moapa area.
