Jeanene Ross

Jeanene Vv’s Haslam Peterson Ross, 73, died in her home February 26th, 2008 in Overton, Nevada. She was born April 4th, 1934 in Cedar City, Utah, the daughter of Joseph Aurelius Haslam and Ethelyn Berry. She married Pat G. Peterson on May 8th 1952, they made their home in Ogden, Utah. They then traveled to Pakistan, Greece, and Venezuela for Pat’s employment. They had two children, Denice and Jeff, and they were later divorced. She married Mac C. Ross on December 15th 1973. They originally lived in Ogden, then later moved to Little Rock, Arkansas for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1986. They retired from the railroad and moved back to Ogden in 1994. Vv’s worked several places including First Security Bank, Clearfield Clinic, and Hill Air Force Base. She was a wonderful cook and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. VV’s loved the outdoors, she particularly enjoyed camping and fishing. She presided over the UP United Old Timers Club for a year. In recent years she spent her summers in Ogden and winters in Overton, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mac, and her stepson Ryan Ross. She is survived by her children Denice Westley (Lamar), Overton, NV; Jeff Peterson, Riverdale, UT; her stepchildren Clay Ross (Cheryl) Idaho Falls, ID; and Brenda Postel (Doug), Clearfield, UT; her 13 grandchildren; and her sisters Drexel and Yvonne. There will be a memorial gathering at her home on her birthday April 4th, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at 259 E. 4450 S. Washington Terrace, UT. All friends and family are invited.
