William “Bill” Lee Barefield, age 71, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008 at his home in Overton, Nevada. He was born April 4, 1936 in North Hollywood, California to Leon Franklin and Wilma Kimberling Barefield. On August 6, 1983 he married Geraldine “Geri” Andersen in Jackson, Wyoming.
Bill served his country in the Armed Forces as a Marine. He traveled throughout the Western United States working as a superintendent with a cooling towers company. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He never met a stranger and was always helping others.
Survivors include his wife Geri of Overton; two daughters: Babs (Ray) Harding of Anchorage, AK; Lindy (Jody) Burkes of Jackson, WY; two step sons: Kirk (Vanesia) Campbell of Pocatello, ID; Fred (Mickey) Campbell of Kemmerer, WY; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five sisters, one brother, numerous nieces and nephews and his step mother.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Overton Park.
