Cinderella Pageant Royalty Named At CC Fair

The Moapa Cinderella Girl Scholarship Pageant was held on Thursday, April 10 at the Clark County Fair. There were 18 girls that came out to participate in this annual scholarship pageant. All winners received a $75 scholarship to assist in attending finals along with trophies, sashes, great gifts and friendships to last a lifetime.

Local Director Ellen Potter working with State Director Gwendolyn Hansen and the assistance of friend Paula Pulsipher put on yet another fabulous evening.

The girls started their day early with interviews and bonding. The Pageant began with an introduction of Cinderella State Winners including Moapa Valley’s own Carlie Waite, State Cinderella Woman.

Local judges included Audrey Lytle, Jorene Dalley and scorecard judges Tracy Rodgers and Audrey Johnson. Guest judge, Darci Hansen, Founder and Editor in Chief of elan Woman Magazine was also on hand to help out.

“We are not looking for the most beautiful girl but the girl that represents herself most beautifully,” stated Master of Ceremonies, Brooklyn Bledsoe, and, with that, the competition began.

The contestants in each of the five age groups participated in sportswear, partywear and talent competitions. After a fun filled evening, the winners were crowned. Optionals awards were presented first with Jessica Brandon receiving the honor of Best Model, Personality Plus went to Michaela Coburn, Best Partywear to Sarah Purney, Best Sportswear to Chelseana Brown, Prettiest Eyes to Dakota Benagez, Prettiest Hair to Ashley Potter, Best Interview to Sarah Purney, Prettiest Smile to Kayliana Brown and Overall Covergirl to Lexi Hersh.

The following titles were then presented: the Teen Photogenic Award went to Ashley Potter, also in the Teen group there was a tie in the Talent competition and Michaela Coburn and Melissa Otero were awarded the title together, Overall Teen went to Kayliana Brown.

In the Miss group the Talent Award went to Dakota Benagez, and the Overall Miss went to Chelseana Brown. In the Mini Miss group Lexi Hersh took home the Overall title. In the Tot category the Beauty award went to Amiah Dominguez, and the Overall Tot was awarded to Jillian Sullivan. Linda Ramos was crowned the Overall Cinderella Woman.

These girls will all compete at the State level in Las Vegas.
