| To the Editor: This is a thank you letter. We wish to thank the two Nevada Highway Patrol officers for their help in charging a tire that blew out on April 22 on I-15 North. We called 911 to get help. The dispatcher said that they would call someone. We waited an hour on the busy highway. The officers were going south on I-15 and crossed over to help us. They did not get a call from 911. We did not get their names, but the license on the car was #15. They know who they are. We are grateful to have such caring officers on the highway patrol. | Relay For Life A Success | ||
| To the Editor: As chairperson of this year’s American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life committee, I would like to thank residents of Moapa Valley for their generosity and support. A total of 16 teams participated in this year’s event, raising over $20,000 for the American Cancer Society’s research, education, advocacy, and service programs. The outstanding support received proves that the people of Moapa Valley are truly committed to the fight against Cancer. I want to applaud the 35 survivors that participated in the opening lap and the survivor recognition. They are the reason we continue the fight because each year more and more people are living wonderful and productive lives following a diagnosis of cancer. With special thanks to the many Relay For Life volunteers who worked to make this event a success. The Relay For Life committee did an outstanding job of putting the event together.
