Spencer Valerio with Justin Harker of Air Raid Anthem perform at the Old Logandale School on Friday and Saturday, April 11-12.

If you heard rock music coming from the Old Logandale School on evenings of April 11-12 you weren’t imagining things. It may not be the usual fare from the Old Logandale School but local rockers Brett Lee and Spencer Valerio brought nine bands to town to put on two great shows.

Friday night Air Raid Anthem, Never Mind, Robots Guide To Living, and Big Beat Italian performed. On Saturday, Air Raid Anthem, Never Mind, City of Ashburn, Hitting On Hannah, and The Trademark performed.

Loyal audience members out of Las Vegas and St. George made their way to Logandale to rock with the bands. A few locals even left the fairgrounds for a while to enjoy the entertainment. Lee, who grew up in Moapa Valley put the show together. “I believe positive music can help kids,” stated Lee.

There is no alcohol allowed at their shows and the music is clean. Younger children are able to attend, and they did, and enjoy a good clean rock show. These bands are not ‘garage bands’, they are accomplished and busy doing what they love. “All of these bands are touring bands,” explained Lee.

One band, The Trademark has been out on the Warped Tour and is currently touring with the Crunk Energy Drink Tour.

This is the third year for the rock concert to be held in Logandale. Lee tried it out during the Fair the first year and had a great response. The second year he held the show on a different weekend than the Fair and the response wasn’t as big. This year he again planned the show during the Fair hoping that word would spread and a big turnout would be the result.

“This is something this valley is lacking and it would be great to get more people out to see the show,” stated Lee. Lee explained that he would eventually like to bring their show to the Fair and be a regular act.
