The American Legion Post 75 gathered at the tank in Overton on Saturday, May 24, to raise the American Flag in celebration of Memorial Day and to honor those who have fallen in battle for their country. This group of dedicated men have raised the flag here in Moapa Valley for decades. Rain or shine they gather and at 7:00 a.m. the bugle is played, |

| a shot is fired from a miniature cannon and the American Flag is raised along with the POW Mia Flag.
On Monday, May 26th, the men gathered again for the official Memorial Day flag raising much like the one held on Saturday morning. The flag was left at half-staff on Monday to honor men and women who have fallen in military service. |
