Licensed Clinical Psychologist Dr. Jared Overton will be relocating to his own office space in downtown Overton. His office is currently located in the offices of Moapa Valley Chiropractic. The move is expected to take place by mid-summer. Dr. Overton will soon be occupying the space formerly used as local pizza hangout Don Luigis.

Renovations are taking place now and what was a busy fun hangout with the rich aroma of fresh dough and sauce will soon be a quiet private office. Dr. Overton plans on having an extra office space built in to sublease as well.

Dr. Overton is looking forward to having plenty of sound proofing on the walls of his new office to give his patients a more private setting. He is also looking forward to growing and even hiring on a new therapist in the future.

Something new Dr. Overton is looking forward to along with the new office is a relaxation bed. This bed will provide patients with an alternative to medication. There are many features which will provide a wide variety of relaxation options.

Office hours have recently changed and will remain after the move. Dr. Overton will be seeing patients Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thursday evenings after 5 p.m. by appointment only.

Dr. Overton has been practicing in Moapa Valley since February 2006. First under supervision and moving on his own in September 2006. Since that time he has been there for many locals in need of assistance.

The office stays busy but new patients are always welcome. There are times when the appointment book is full but Dr. Overton tries to accommodate all in need. “There may be a slight wait, but I do try to accommodate,” he said.

Dr. Overton is originally from Newport Beach, California. He and his family moved to Moapa Valley where his wife grew up to be closer to her family.
