Locals gathered at the Logandale Sports Complex on Saturday, August 23 to celebrate the opening of the new concession stand and restrooms. A just-for-fun Little League game was held at which Commissioner Tom Collins threw out the first pitch.

After the kids enjoyed a game it was time for the adults to get into the action with a game of their own. Members of the Moapa Valley Town Board and employees of the Clark County Parks and Recreation joined together and provided entertainment for all.

Gene Houston, Commissioner Tom Collins, and John Stastny cut the ceremonial ribbon at the Logandale Sports Complex on Saturday, August 23. The opening of the new restrooms and concessions stands was celebrated with a few games and lots of treats.
During the evenings events there was a ceremonial ribbon cutting in which Commissioner Collins, MVTAB member Gene Houston, and John Stastny of Parks and Rec cut the ribbon in celebration of the new concessions and restrooms.

“This project took three years to get going,”stated Collins. He explained that Houston had come to him and expressed the need for the facility. “It is thanks to Gene that this has become a reality,”he added.
