they owned and operated Moapa Valley Market. Mary continued working as a nurse and was instrumental in starting a clinic in Overton. She was the first dispatcher for the volunteer ambulance service in Moapa Valley.
Mary Alice loved music and she enjoyed volunteering as a foster grandmother at the Bowler Elementary School. She was always active in the LDS church and had a profound gratitude for her Savior.
Survivors include two daughters and one son: Cynthia of Logandale; Kenneth of Canada; Lita (Gayle) Pace of St. George, UT; six grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph W. (Enid) Cook of Farmington, UT and Richard C. (Gail) Cook of American Fork, UT. She was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel Bryson and one sister, Katherine Cheney.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Logandale LDS 1st Ward Chapel. Visitation was from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel.
