The students of NorthStar Commonwealth gathered to prepare and present another Shakespeare Play on Friday, April 24. To bring their academic year to a magnificent end, the students worked very hard for six weeks, and “The Taming of the Shrew” was performed at the Old Logandale School to an attentive audience of friends, family, and community members.

The Zephyr Consort provided beautiful Renaissance Music in between scenes, allowing the actors and directors to change sets successfully. The members of this musical group

included Gaye Nelson, Mary Lou Whitney, Flo Lund, Heather Lyon, and Jill Greig.

The students performing in the play included Raven Govelovich, Alec Stump, Joshua Omer, Elizabeth Robertson, Traci Omer, Bronze Blaber, Brad Bledsoe, Sierra Staley, Easton Pulver, Brody Blaber, Summer Omer, Pam Pulver, Teah Stump, Rhiana Govelovich, Jacob Hauver, and Chandler Stump. It was an all-student cast, excepting only Pam Pulver who graciously offered to fill in for a small part in Act V of the play.

Every actor should be commended on their splendid, comic performances, each of which worked together to make the play a remarkable success.

The play was performed twice once at 3:00 p.m. for a very small audience of family members as the final Dress Rehearsal before performance, and then for a second time at 7:00 that evening.

All who were involved in the play worked very hard, actors and backstage managers alike. Special recognition goes to the Directors Raina Stump, Chloe Leavitt, Pamela Pulver; props manager, Denise Robertson; OLSHACS and Mike Shaw, as well as the parents and families of each actor and actress involved, all for their support.
