Free Gardening Classes To Be Offered | |

Mark your calendar for another Wednesday evening series of gardening classes offered by University of Nevada Cooperative Extension during the month of October. The Master Gardeners will be conducting free gardening classes from 7:00-8:00 p.m. beginning Wednesday, October 7. The topic for October 7 will be “Plant Now for Vegetables this Fall and Winter,” presented by Master Gardener Helen Brown.Future topics will be “Oooh, My Aching Knees Gardening with Physical Limitations” (October 14), “Desert Watering Tips How Much, How Often, How to Tell” (October 21), and “Yes, You CAN Grow It in the Desert” (October 28). Classes will be transmitted via interactive video conference from Las Vegas to the Logandale Cooperative Extension Office at 1897 N. Moapa Valley Boulevard. You can register for all four classes, or pick the session(s) you are most interested in. To reserve a space, call the Cooperative Extension office at 397-2604 or 346-7215. Everyone must pre-register so that space requirements can be taken into consideration and a sufficient number of handouts will be available. If there is insufficient interest, the program will be cancelled. |
