Watercolor Exhibit At Lost City Museum

The Lost City Museum presents the exhibit “Watercolors of the West” by artist, Georgine Morelli throughout the month of October.

Morelli has been experimenting with paint and developing unique watercolor techniques emphasizing vibrant color for most of her life. The southwest women, chilies, pottery and florals are among her favorite subjects.

“Morelli’s works will brighten your day and lift your spirit with Native American and western themed watercolors,” said Kathryne Olson, museum director.

Morelli has been an active member of the Boulder City Art Guild and has displayed her work at the Lost City Museum, Valley of Fire, The Historic Boulder Dam Hotel, Summerlin, Green Valley, Mesquite, Ely and Flagstaff. She has participated in the Boulder City fine Arts Festival and Art in the Park.

Born and raised in Yonkers, New York, she has resided in Boulder City for almost 20 years.

The Lost City Museum is open Thursday through Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Regular admission charge is $4.00 for adults age 18 and over, $3.00 for anyone over 65. Children and members enter free. For more information, call the museum at (702) 397-2193.
