The last Thursday and Friday of the school year brought a fifth grade talent show to Grant M. Bowler Elementary School. Students, teachers, and families filled the multi-purpose room on both days last week to support the entertainers. The show was entertaining and showcased many of the community’s future talent.

The young entertainers were every bit as diverse as popular TV talent shows like So You Think You Can Dance, American Idol, and America’s Next Comedian. Each day brought different students with different talent.
Along with the show came a student council host that encouraged each entertainers and kept the audience informed of who each performer was.

The audience was spectacular at cheering, laughing, singing along, and clapping their small hands to make a big noise. There were piano players, singers, dancers, gymnasts, make-up tutorials, poem recitations, bottle flipping, a magician, and cloggers. There was an amazing feat in itself by a young performer who played the steel guitar. Not to be out done by the steel guitar, there was a girl who could jump on a pogo stick with one foot and no hands.

Fifth grader, Tanner, performs a song on his ukelele at the Talent Show held at Bowler Elementary last week.
Don’t be surprised when your elementary aged child comes home wanting to show you the latest dance craze called “The Stinky Leg”. One trio of girls showed the crowd just what it was like to have one.

Throughout the show comedians where dispersed in between performing acts. With the mic stand in there face these young boys and girls dared to make themselves look silly in the name of comedy. All had their audiences full attention and delight during the entire show.

The talent show was completely run by the student council with assistance from Vice Principal, Pledger Solomon.
