With any luck, Mesa View Regional Hospital should soon be bringing a new pediatrician to Mesquite. In addition to the one pediatrician that visited in September, and one on October first, there are two more visiting the community this week. Mesa View officials are confident that they will be able to recruit one of these to the area. In fact, the first visitor has already expressed interest in the position.
The process of negotiation, background checking, licensing and credentialing can be time consuming, but it would be within reason to think that the new pediatrician could be on board by January, according to hospital officials.
One of the visitors this week is Franchesca Brown, M.D. who received her medical degree from Duke University. Dr. Brown currently resides in South Carolina and will be here on Wednesday October 6.
The hospital staff welcomes each of these physicians to Mesquite and hopes they will see the beauty of the Mesquite community and plan to practice medicine here.
