Volleyball: The cowgirls of Chapparral rode into town Thursday afternoon then rode out with a 3-1 loss to the Pirates. Mackenzie Staley had 25 assists. Ashley Noto scored 4 aces and 7 kills. Summer Owens had 9 kills. While Amanda Campbell served 4 aces, and had 5 kills. Game scores 25-16, 25-14, 21-25 and 25-20.
Boulder City came to town Wednesday and swept the Lady Pirates. Boulder City completely dominated the younger Pirates in three straight games. 25-14, 25-19, and 25-6. Moapa is 0 and 4 in league.
“The girls are young and are playing hard” said coach Waite.
Boys Soccer: On Tuesday the Pirates traveled to Sierra Vista in Las Vegas where the Mountain Lions shutout Moapa 8-0. Stefan Sefanovie and Steve Hiale had two goals in the win. Goalie, Fransico Croz needed to make only two saves to beat the Pirates.
On Thursday the Meadows travelled to Moapa and left with a 4-2 victory. Borha Mateos and Tim Burey each had a goal for the Pirates. For the Mustangs, Corin Galati had two goals.
Girls Soccer: On Monday, October 18, the Lady Pirates hosted Adelson School Lions and came away with a 9-1 victory. No stats were given.
On Wednesday, October 20, Boulder City shut out the Pirates 4-0. Tasja Toumasis scored twice to lead the Eagles.
