How many businesses are there left in the valley? Do we all support them or only shop here only when convenient. Is it really in our best interest to drive all the way to Mesquite for our bread and milk? How about the screws for the screen door, is Wal-Mart the best place, can you save enough to close the doors on another local store.
Ok so you really do save a few pennies on every purchase, can your young teens work there, and will their manager donate to you son’s football program or possibly provide a scholarship for your daughter? What about the local theater in town. It has a comfortable feel you do not get in other places; will they be the next convenience we lose out on?
I suppose we can all sit at home and blame the economy, it must be Obama’s fault, and maybe Sharron could fix this after she is done with Washington.
If every one in our area would get behind the local economy and care for our own businesses we would all be better off. All I’m really saying is we still have the choice as to where we spend our money and time, wouldn’t it be nice if it stayed that way?
