‘Mysteries Of The Southwest’ Unveiled At Lost City Museum

The Lost City Museum will host the new photography exhibition “Mysteries of the Southwest,” during the month of February. Local photographer Scott Simper’s work will be on display featuring scenes of unique and mysterious geology.

“My greatest passion is taking photographs,” said Simper who is the current president of The Moapa Valley Art Guild.

Simper grew up on a farm in Vernal, Utah and graduated from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor of Science in engineering. In the spring of 1992 he moved to Overton, Nevada where he takes part in many outdoor activities such as scouting and camping.

Scott’s interest in photography has taken him down many distant paths from Santa Ana, California to Reno, Nevada and all points in between. Wherever Scott happens to be, he is never without his camera and gear, hoping to capture just the perfect image.

The Lost City Museum is open Thursday through Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $5.00; children and members enter free. For more information, please call the museum at (702) 397-2193.
