William August “Bill” Wunsche, age 76, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was born February 21, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to Walter William and Marie Louise Schlager Wunsche. On November 3, 1957 he married Jean Ann Boik in Detroit, Michigan. She preceded him in death on June 28, 1995.
Bill lived most of his life in Detroit, Michigan. He worked for Coca Cola and General Motors before he entered the Army where he served in the Korean Conflict. After his service to his country, he returned to Detroit, was married and worked for the University of Michigan. He later managed the Forest Hills Cemetery. In 1980, he moved his family out west to Moapa, Nevada where he worked at Nevada Power. He will be remembered for his love of family, how he loved to gather his friends and family to visit and spend time together.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter, “Jim” Walter (Peggy) of Overton, NV; Ralph (Laura) of Las Vegas, NV; Karen (Rick) Robinson of Moapa, NV; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and one sister, Carol Bender of Detroit, MI. He was preceded by one sister, Joyce.
