It’s that time of year again! Moapa Valley Rotary has organized the Valley Wide Yard Sale, scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 12.
Rotarian Chris Green has been working countless hours organizing this event, advertising not only locally, but also in newspapers in the Las Vegas area, Mesquite, and St. George.
“We hope to bring out of town shoppers as well as local shoppers with this swap meet,” said Green. “Our goal this year is to get out many people who don’t normally attend this kind of event.”
The original Valley Wide Yard Sale started as an attempt to assist the Senior Center, and has just kept on going. The event started in 2005 with only seven stops on the map. Last year it was up to 26 stops, and it looks like this year will be about the same.
The Rotary Club will be set up on the north side of the Lin’s parking lot. All proceeds from Rotary’s area will be used locally, for different events that Rotary designates.
