M.R.A. members announced the recipients of $9000 in grants to area organizations at a meeting last week.

The Mesquite Resort Associate held its quarterly meeting on March 16 at the CasaBlanca in Mesquite. At the meeting the Association announced grant recipients for first and second quarter, 2011.

The Mesquite Resort Association; which includes Casablanca, Virgin River and Eureka Resorts; annually donates $25,000 to area charitable organizations and schools.

At last week’s meeting the Mesquite Virgin Valley Lions Club received $500. We Care for Animals in Mesquite received $1,000. Virgin Valley High School Forensics Team received $2,000. La Virgin De Guadalupe Catholic Church Youth Group received $2,000. Mesquite Lutheran Child Care recieved $2,500. And Word Café at Living Waters Fellowship received $1,000.
