Specialized Wound Treatment Medical Clinic To Hold Open House

Caregivers at the new Advanced Wound Care clinic in Mesquite included l to r Eric Garrett, Tracy Rodgers and Erica Garrett
A new specialty medical clinic has recently opened in northeast Clark County to service the treatment of wounds. The Advanced Wound Care in Mesquite is an outpatient clinic which specializes in the treatment of any type of wounds including diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, arterial and venous stasis ulcers, surgical wounds, traumatic ulcers and burns and more.
“There are so many specialty dressings and high tech things nowadays that can help wounds to heal faster a lot of time the medical providers don’t specialize in wound healing,” said Registered Nurse Tracy Rodgers one of the partners at the clinic. “We work with vascular surgeons, dieticians and local providers to give that kind of specialized service.”
Rodgers is joined at the clinic by Registered Nurse Erica Garrett. Both Rodgers and Garrett have received specialty training and accreditation in wound care.
Also serving patients at the clinic is physical therapist Eric Garrett.
Dr. Lonnie Empey serves as the medical director of the new clinic.
The clinic will be holding an open house event for the public on Thursday, March 24 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 5:00 p.m.
“We wanted to invite people from the Moapa Valley to come and see the new clinic,” Rodgers said. “We hoped it would be a chance for people to come and ask questions and meet our staff.”
The clinic is located at 1301 Bertha Howe, Suite 9 in Mesquite. Appointments may be made by calling 702-346-0562.
