Tiffany’s Pies and Subs restaurant is celebrating its tenth anniversary of doing business in Logandale. On Friday, April 1, the small sandwich shop will have been in operation at its location in Wally’s Plaza for a decade.

“Tiffany’s has been a lot of fun to do over the years,” said owner Scott Carson. “That is the reason that we keep it.”

Carson began doing business at the location before the sandwich shop was named Tiffany’s. “There had been a Blimpies sub shop here,” he said. “We noticed one day that it had closed down. So we looked into getting the franchise and eventually re-opened as Blimpies.”

But Carson was dissatisfied with the kind of support he received from the Blimpies organization. So he allowed the franching to expire and then re-opened under an independent name.

At the time Carson owned the very successful Tiffany’s Pies in Las Vegas, a large bakery that supplied dessert products to restaurants and cafes on the strip and throughout the Las Vegas valley. The business was named for the Carsons’ daughter Tiffany. So the new Logandale restaurant was also renamed Tiffany’s.

“We originally opened the store to employ our own kids” Carson said. “They have all worked here over the years and are now gone. But now we keep it to continue to service the Valley.”

The restaurant still makes a point of employing Moapa Valley youth.

Each spring, the Carsons also present scholarships to outgoing Moapa Valley High School seniors; scholarships sponsored by Tiffany’s Pies and Subs.

To commemorate the 10 year milestone, Tiffany’s will be adding a new item on its menu: dipping ice cream. On the Friday anniversary, the restaurant will be offering free Meadow Gold ice cream to its customers. After that the ice cream will become a regular menu item at Tiffany’s, Carson said.
