Moapa Valley Progress
The Moapa Valley High School Baseball team spent a busy week where they were up and down.The week ended with two losses to the Virgin Valley Bulldogs. Virgin Valley is the three time defending State Baseball Champion and are a favorite to win it again. The scores were 8-2 and 8-2. The Pirates got three hits in each game.
Coach Williams stated that the Moapa boys made too many mistakes in the games. But he feels they can win the league if they can correct the problems.
The Pirates beat Canyon Springs 10-0 and Western 14-3. But they to Coronado 12-1. Villezcas is currently leading the Pirates in hitting at .346.
This week Moapa travels to Vo-Tech Wednesday then hosts Boulder City on Friday.
