Touring Nevada’s Back Roads
Thirteen 1928, ’29, ’30, and ’31 Model A Fords were in the Overton area last week. The Mountain Quail Model A Club with members from Reno, Northern California, and Oregon drove their cars some 1300 miles along the back roads of Nevada. The group stayed two nights at the Best Western North Shore Inn and spent a day sightseeing at the Valley of Fire and Lost City Museum.

Green Bay Packer Reggie White Visits Moapa Valley
The NFL came to Moapa Valley in the form of all pro Green Bay Packer defensive end Reggie White. White and film director Paul McKellips spent most of March 19 filming pre-movie videos and commercials at the Wes Adams Ranch for an upcoming movie starring Reggie White called “Reggie’s Prayer”. The film will be released in September 1996.

Banner Promotes County Fair
The Moapa Valley Chamber of Commerce has installed a 20-ft banner at the intersection of Whipple Avenue and Moapa Valley Boulevard welcoming visitors to the County Fair. The banner was hand-painted by the Moapa Valley Progress’ graphic arts department, and strung by Cal Lyon at Moapa Valley Telephone.
