Representatives from the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) Club Ride program will be at the Lin’s Marketplace in Overton on Saturday, April 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to explain the benefits of carpooling and to register local residents for a ride-matching service from the Moapa Valley community.
Carpooling saves money and benefits the environment, RTC officials said, and this could be especially helpful for residents of Moapa and Moapa Valley who commute into Las Vegas for work each day.
Club Ride Commuter Services is a free program from the RTC designed to help reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality and mobility, encourage the use of commute alternatives, and ultimately create a more sustainable community. Club Ride works with employers and commuters in the region to establish custom commute options programs and offers incentives to get commuters to try new modes for getting to work. Club Ride Commuter Services annually offers thousands of employers and commuters time- and money-saving solutions for a better commute in Southern Nevada.
