Logandale Volunteer Firefighters To Raffle Off 2011 Polaris RZR At The Fair
The Logandale Volunteer Fire Department, Station 73 will be raffling off a 2011 Polaris RZR to generate funds for much needed station equipment. Mesquite Extreme Power Sports is supplying the RZR that will be on display at the Clark County Fair in the Power Sports booth. Tickets can be purchased during the Fair at the Emergency Services Tent just west of the Fine Arts Building, or at the ice sales table located near the east exit of the Exhibit Hall.
Raffle tickets are available for purchase by those 18 years or older. Tickets are $10 each or three tickets for $25. There are a limited number of tickets that will be sold.
Tickets will again be sold at the Logandale Fire Department Wildfire Awareness Week Open House on May 6.
Tickets can also be purchased from station members up until the drawing which will take place at the Logandale Volunteer Fire Department “Arena Off-Road Challenge” on November 4.
The Arena Off-Road Challenge will be an obstacle course set up in the area immediately south of the station, which is on station property. The obstacles will include dips, hills, power poles, boulders, tractor tires and hydro conduit to mention a few.
“Contestants, brought in by Vegas Valley 4Wheelers and advertisements, will demonstrate their skills of bravery trying to conquer the LVFDAORC with their 4×4’s as spectators cheer them on,” said Tim DeBerardinis, Fire Chief Station 73. Raffle tickets and flyers donated by Operation Fire Heat.
The event will conclude with the raffle of the 2011 Polaris RZR. “It is our intention to make this an annual community event that will help us raise funds to purchase equipment to further assist those in the Valley, on I-15 and in the Logandale Trails System,” said DeBerardinis.
