Paleontology Talk To Be Presented At Lost City Museum

The Lost City Museum will host a paleontology talk by PhD candidate Josh Bonde on Saturday, April 23 at 3:00 p.m. The talk will be a rich overview of the biological and geological history of southern Nevada.

This talk will be geared toward the general audience with a question and answer session afterwards. Bonde will also be available after the talk to help identify any fossils people would like to bring in.

Josh Bonde is originally from Fallon Nevada. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno. He then went on to earn his Master of Science degree in Earth Science from Montana State University, Bozeman.

It was in Bozeman that Josh’s research into Nevada dinosaurs began.

Josh is currently pursuing a PhD in Geology at the University of Nevada LasVegas. Josh was also recently accepted as a Research Associate in Paleontology with the Nevada State Museum in Carson City.

The Lost City Museum is open Thursday through Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Regular admission charge is $5.00 for adults, children under 18 and members enter free. For more information, call the museum at (702) 397-2193.
