Moapa Valley Progress
The Moapa Valley High School Baseball team hosted the Virgin Valley Bulldogs on Friday, April 15 and was beaten in both games of a double-header. The Pirates lost 11-7 in the first game and then ended up losing 10-4 in the night cap.
The score was tied at 3 going into the fifth inning of the first game when the Dawgs blew the doors off and scored eight runs in the inning.
Moapa didn’t give up though as they scored four in the bottom of the fifth inning.
The Pirates out hit the Dawgs 8-7 but errors in the key fifth inning cost them the game.
Tichenor for the Bulldogs won the first game.
In the second game Bulldog pitcher, Gleave pitched a four hitter in the win.
Moapa scored first right off the bat with a run in the first. The game was tied 3-3 again going into the sixth inning. Then Virgin Valley scored four in the sixth and three in the seventh to win it.
The Repp brothers each got a loss.
