Dr. Larry Moses made a book signing appearance at Books Etc in Overton to introduce his newest novel “Promises”.

Local author and Progress columnist, Dr. Larry Moses, held a book signing at Books, Etc. store in Overton on Saturday, April 30.

Moses’ newest novel is entitled “Promises”. It is a historical novel set in the mid 1800s about Thomas Kincade, a young man who is travelling east at a time when everyone seems to going West. But he is going to fulfill a promise to his family. Kincade’s travels roughly parallel the current I-80 along the Mormon Trail.

Moses took a moment during the booksigning event to discuss his own journey as a writer. He has written five books. His hobby of writing began years ago following his retirement as Principal of MVHS.

Writing from his own experiences and researching on the internet and from other books fills his days as he prepares for his next novel – perhaps a sequel to the current “Promises.”
