The Muddy River Bar & Grill in Moapa will be hosting its third annual Cars, Bikes and More Show on Saturday, May 7 from 10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. The show will be held in the parking lot of the Muddy River at 1825 W. Highway 168 in Moapa.

Muddy River Restaurant owner Kent Slight and his staff have been busy in recent weeks sending out flyers and notices to car clubs and restoration shops all over the region.

“We hope that we are going to have a great turnout,” Slight said. “We are expecting around 150 entrants so far.”

Included in the many cars expected to be there on Saturday are drag racing cars from the speedway. Four boats from Echo Bay Marina will also be there for an open header contest.

Registration for entries will start at 9:00 a.m. with a $25 fee per entrant. Trophies will be awarded to cars and bikes in several categories. A Best Of Show trophy will be awarded. Also awards for People’s Choice, Contestants’ Choice and Judges Choice.

Slight and the Muddy River team will be firing up the grill for a tasty barbeque. Of course, there will be burgers and dogs for the crowds to enjoy. But visitors will also be able to get the restaurant’s new pulled pork sandwich.

The car show will also feature live entertainment by the Jerome Wedig Band out of Virgin, Utah.

The general public is invited to come and enjoy the cars for free. Families are welcome. No admission will be charged for the event.
