Country Cottage Interiors has opened in its new Moapa Valley location, 385 S. Moapa Valley Blvd., and now features a showroom in which many of its unique flooring products are displayed.
Business owner Jim Krell, who has more than 40 years experience in flooring merchandise and its installation, said prospective customers can now browse and actually handle a variety of carpets, tiles, laminate, cork and bamboo.
“We have five different types of bamboo flooring available and it’s all displayed so someone can see what their actually floor is going to look like once it’s installed,” he said.
Country Cottage specializes in Mohawk flooring products because of the wide variety and quality of the flooring offered by the company, Krell said.
“Mohawk has been in business 130 years and if there’s ever a problem with one of their products, they immediately replace it,” Krell said. “They have everything a person could possible want in flooring they really stand behind their merchandise.”
Krell installs all the products he sells and can often get the job done within days of an order being placed.
“I’ve been to schools all over the U.S. and we sell products and can install them in every room in the house, whether it’s a bedroom, living room, bathroom or other room,” he said. “We’ve even done patios and other work outdoors.”
Krell said he will remove old flooring and even help move furniture to prepare a room for installation as part of the purchase.
“We try to help the customer as much as possible,” he said. “We don’t like to nickel and dime people, our job is to get the flooring in. When we do bathrooms we’ll even take out the toilet. We don’t do trip charges and we’ll be glad to give free estimates.”
Krell has been in southern Nevada since 1976 and has lived in Moapa Valley for more than 13 years. He has installed flooring all over the U.S. and has even worked in Canada.
“It’s an industry that is always changing, always expanding and I’m constantly learning,” he said.
