The students at Grant M. Bowler Elementary have been earning points all year in the hopes of earning an invitation to the end-of-year Accelerated Reader pool party. Students in 1st and 2nd grade had to earn at least 50 points and 3rd -5th needed 100 points to attend.

The younger group celebrated on Thursday, May 26 and the older students went the following day. The students spent the afternoon swimming at the Logandale pool and then enjoyed popsicles in the Logandale Park.

Accelerated Reader points are given for reading and comprehension. Computer based tests are taken on every book that the students read and each book is given an AR point value based on difficulty.
