Day Of Small Town Fun Being Planned For July 4

Clark County Parks & Recreation along with the Logandale, Overton and Moapa Fire Departments, the Moapa Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, Lin’s Grocery Store and the Moapa Valley Area Rotary Club are excited to kick off the 2011 Moapa Valley Independence Day Celebration!

This years celebration will begin on Monday, July 4 at 7:00 am with a flag raising ceremony by local veterans organizations.

The flag raising will be followed by the free pancake, egg and sausage breakfast sponsored by the Moapa Valley Rotary Club.

Then will follow a morning filled with fun contests and games.

After taking a break during the afternoon a flag retreat ceremony will be held.

The Moapa Valley Chamber of Commerce will again sponsor its annual free deep pit barbeque dinner for the community.

Some small town family entertainment will follow headlined by the singing of Eric Dodge.

Then, the festivities will conclude with a great fireworks show.

Get your lawn chairs ready, break out the sunscreen and prepare for some small town fun this July 4th!
