The Hometown Sears Store in Mesquite is located at 1085 Pioneer Blvd. just across from Walmart.

Three years ago the Sears Hometown Store opened its doors in Mesquite. Located at 1085 Pioneer Blvd., just across from Wal-Mart, this Sears store carries a wide variety of merchandise including over 150 major appliances, televisions, water softeners, water heaters, vacuums, Craftsman Tools, tractors, lawn mowers, lawn & garden Accessories, patio furniture, and more.

“It’s been a long 3 years, but fun,” said store owner and operator, Chris Key.

Key said that the store’s biggest challenge has been to convince area residents that the 5,000 sq. foot space is not just a catalog store but a resource for all of Sears products.

“In most cases our customers find just what they are looking for in stock,” Key said. “If not, we can order the items in for them.”

“People are usually very surprised at our large inventory,” said Store Manager, Kim Stockwell. “We like to pride ourselves in the great local service we are able to provide, including personalized local delivery to our various communities, of Mesquite, Moapa, Overton, Logandale, and the Arizona towns. We love that we can give a small town atmosphere to a nationally supplied business. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction!”

In January, the store was awarded with The Premier Dealer Award from Sears, one of only 190 in the nation out of 950 stores.

“To be honored as a Premier Dealer is a great achievement not only for our store, but also for the community we strive to serve every day,” Key said. “We could not of have earned this award without the support of our community,”

The national recognition is awarded based on the feedback from the store’s customers, and the store’s achievement of exceeding the high standards of operations required by Sears.

To help celebrate three years in business, the store will hold an all day savings event on August 15. Customers can save up to 40% off Kenmore Appliances and 5- 20% off most other merchandise throughout the store.

Furthermore, throughout This week (Aug. 8-15) customers can enter their names into a drawing for prizes to be given away on Aug. 15. Free Hot Dogs & Sodas will be served from 11 am to 2 pm on the 15th as well.
