The Moapa Valley High School fall sports season officially begins next week on August 15. Final camps and summer activities are winding down as the new school year is coming up soon.
MVHS officials say that students wishing to participate in a high school sport will need to complete a sports packet which can be picked up at the school’s front office. There is a $10 fee for the routine concussion test. Students will not be able to begin practice without submitting a completed packet.
All freshman and juniors will need a physical examination in order to participate in sports. Contact the high school for questions or call your coach for start times and places where practices will be held.
Here is a list of the coaches for the fall sports: Brent Lewis, football; Heather Humes, girls cross country; Gary Watkins, Boys cross country; Donna Swanson, girl’s tennis; Sid Bounds, boy’s tennis; Randy Brinker, Boys’ soccer; Jerry Swanson, Girls’ soccer; Lorenzo Delgadillo, girls Golf; and Mandie Matheson, volleyball.
