People are weak. Trying to change their diet only results in cravings, discouragement, and feeling deprived. The results are never as good as the promises. So without any motivation to continue on a disappointing course, people will return to old habits. Why not? Stubbornly maintaining a miserable diet with no benefits is absurd. The problem with popular diet regimes is that they do not address the real issue.
Most diets attack fat as if it was the cause of all human misery, but fat is actually saving your life! The real disorder in your body is overacidification. The body creates fat cells to carry acids away from your vital organs. Without this process, acids would destroy your organs causing disease and death. In fact, all disease and sickness is due to over acidity of the tissues and cells of our bodies. The alarming rate of irreversible weight gain is due to an increased over-acidic condition. Our bodies must maintain the proper acid/alkaline balance. When our bodies are in an ideal acid/alkaline balance, we will naturally reach our ideal weight and correct negative health issues.
Creating and maintaining proper alkaline balance within your body by eating an alkaline diet everyday will bring you increased quality of life. Improvements in health will be felt immediately. Alkaline is the state in which your body thrives. Diseases, especially cancer, cannot survive in an alkaline, oxygenated environment. How great is that?! A slightly alkaline balance in your body not only treats current conditions, but can prevent the most devastating diseases. It is not complicated. An alkaline diet will build your strength, stamina, and resistance to diseases. Your entire body will function more efficiently just like it was meant to do.
Getting a better alkaline balance in your diet is not difficult.
1. Drink pure water and lots of it. Try to drink at least 7 ounces for every 10 pounds of body weight. Caffeine is America’s drug of choice, but it is detrimental to the alkaline balance in your body. Avoid sugary sodas and artificial fruit juices as they are extremely acidic in the body. Filtered water is really your best option.
2. Eat plenty of leafy greens. Celery, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage, spinach, cauliflower, carrots, asparagus, melons, and onions are high in water and nutrients.
