MVHS Soccer Program Gathering Steam

Moapa Valley Progress
The soccer program at Moapa Valley High School is a growing program. About 35 athletes came out to play this year for MVHS Soccer. Many for the first time. The boys’ soccer team will even have a JV team for the first time in a long time.
The boys will be traveling to go up against Virgin Valley on Friday at their first game of the season. The first home game won’t be until September 19 when the boys will be pitted against Sunrise Mountain at Mack Lyon Middle School field.
The girls team is still struggling with numbers. With last year’s goalie, Kim Sprague having graduated, the girls team is trying to find a new keeper to replace her.
The girls team will start its season at home on September 1 against Virgin Valley. That game will take place at 4:30 p.m. at Mack Lyon Middle School field.
Boulder and Virgin Valley each will be solid this year. But the north has dominated the soccer title for years and will most likely continue to do so.
