Clarence Kellar

Clarence Herbert Kellar Jr., age 81, passed away Saturday August 20, 2011 at his home in Moapa, Nevada. He was born March 8, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to Clarence Herbert Sr. and Dorothy Mae Harper Kellar. On October 15, 1988 he married Myrtle Elizabeth Green in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

Clarence grew up in Detroit, MI. As a young man he served in the Navy during the Korean War. Later he had a farm in Lexington, Michigan. Clarence worked hard as a yacht mechanic and a professional truck driver. In 1991 he and his family moved to Moapa, Nevada where he retired.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle of Moapa, two sons and two daughters: Virginia and Brandon, both of Moapa, NV; Patrick Allen Preston, SR and Loretta Lynn Carr both of Warren, MI; three grandchildren; one brother, Tom Jr. and two sisters, Florence Knight and Patricia (Jake) Brewer all of North Port, FL.

A memorial service was held Saturday August 27, 2011 at the LDS Chapel in Moapa, Nevada. Friends and family are invited to sign the online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.
