Mesquite Festival of the ARTS Coming Soon

The 5th annual Greater Mesquite Festival of the ARTS will host an exciting array of fine arts and fine crafts at this year’s event on October 8-9.

Over 40 artists and crafters from more than six western states will be exhibiting their original creations at the festival.

Festival gates will be open on Saturday, October 8 from 9 am to 5 pm; and on Sunday October 9 from 10 am to 3 pm.

Food and beverage vendors will offer a variety of culinary delights including buffalo burgers, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, gyros, hot dogs, bratwurst and many other favorites.

Miller-lite and Sam Adams ‘Octoberfest’ brews will be featured.

Shaved ice and other treats will be available from Kona Ice of Mesquite.

The event includes many family fun activities. A labyrinth maze is being created by members of the Virgin Valley Artists Association and pumpkin ‘face’ painting will be available at their booth.A juried chalk art contest will be hosted by Virgin Valley Family Services. ‘Arf in the park’ pet sitting and adoptions will be available through We Care for Animals.

Mesquite Arts Council is coordinating the live entertainment and will have ‘Buck-a-duck’ prize drawings at their booth.

The Festival of the ARTS is sponsored by Greater Mesquite Arts Foundation (GMAF). GMAF’s focus is to bring a high-quality fine arts and fine crafts experience to the area.

Admission to the Festival will be Adults $3 – Children under 12 $1. Proceeds from the event support local arts education programming and planning for a Center for the ARTS facility.

Additional assistance is needed during the event to help with set-up, gate security, cashiering, clean up and tear down.
