Edwin Kay

Edwin Kay, age 45, died Monday, September 19, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born September 4, 1966 in Los Angeles, California to Wallace Sr. and Marion Nosie Kay.

Edwin grew up in Moapa, Nevada and played football on the Moapa Valley High School team. He graduated in 1984.

He loved spending time playing guitar and Guitar Hero. He also played in a band. Edwin enjoyed working on cars and trucks – he especially loved 4×4’s. Shooting with his friends and riding dirt bikes with his brother were very important to him.

Survivors include his daughter, Katana Marie Kay; his mother, Marion; and one sister, Lori Kay, all of Moapa. He is also survived by his girlfriend of 25 years, Nina Zuniga, also of Moapa, Nevada. Two aunts, Olivia Cassadore and Delphine Cassadore of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Sr. and his brother, Wallace Jr.

Funeral services were held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel in Moapa, Nevada on Saturday, September 24, 2011. Interment followed a family sing on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Moapa Indian Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary, 702 398-3600.
