St. John’s Catholic Church is holding its annual Fall Fiesta on Saturday, October 8 from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm. As is tradition, the Fall Fiesta will offer delicious homemade Mexican food. Tamales have been pre-sold, but there may be a limited amount available at the Fiesta. Organizers will pre-sell tamales at the event for distribution in November.

A Silent Auction will be held during the Fiesta. Bidding will end at 5:00 pm. Among the items available are a 24” flat screen television, a huge Indian Dream Catcher, and a variety of themed gift baskets. There will also be a raffle, which will include copies of Muddy Valley Reflections by Beezy Tobiasson.

Entertainment will be available all afternoon. At noon, Alicia Silva will be providing mariachi music. Rebekah Caldwell will continue the entertainment at 1:00, singing for the crowd. Following Caldwell will be Chad Doty, another local singer. In between entertainment sets, a DJ will be spinning music so that everyone can dance. At 4:30 pm, there will be performances by both of St. John’s Ballet Folklorico groups, with mariachi music by Saray Calvo presented.

Children are not left out of the events planned. There will be a bounce house and a variety of games for them to play throughout the day.

The Fall Fiesta is an annual fundraiser for St. John’s. Funds are used for operating costs as well as to help out needy families throughout the year.
