Moapa Valley Progress
Despite a steady rain, the Lady Pirate soccer team beat the Lady Bulldogs 3-1 last Wednesday in Virgin Valley in a very emotional and physical game on the wet turf. The win moved Pirates to 1-1 in the league and added a win in their overall record at 2-6-1.
The game was tied at the half 1-1 before the Pirates opened it up in the second half and took the win.
Hanna Leavitt scored two goals and Kylee Evans scored the other for the Pirates.
But the victory was short lived as on Thursday the lady Pirates were shut out 7-0 in Boulder City. The Pirates struggled to score as they had three shots on the goal.
The Eagles had six girls score a goal with Tasja Toumasis scoring two. The ladies finished the week with a 1-2 league record and 2-7-1 overall.
