LETTER: Economic Death Of A Thousand Cuts
Doc Moses your article (No One Asked Me But….: Progress, Sept. 28, 2011) should encourage voters to elect officials Democrat or Republican who can and will protect our economy.
I am in Guatemala starting up a coal fired generating station that operated only 19 years in North Carolina and was forced to close because of new EPA regulations in 2004. Lost are the coal mining, the mechanical maintenance, engineering, water treatment, office personel, and operation jobs, plus the loss of a source of economical energy, and the coal is being imported from Colombia not the USA.
South America is very grateful that we are so responsible. Our ecomnomy is dying, “a death of a thousand cuts”.
