Mesa View Hospital along with Sun City Mesquite and the Mesquite Veterans Center will be holding the annual Veterans Health Fair at the Sun City Recreation Center on October 22 from 9 am – 2pm. The Mesquite Fire Department will provide a free BBQ lunch for the event.

The Health Fair will offer free screenings including blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol checks. In addition flu shots will be available to veterans with a VA health card.

Representatives from the VA, American Legion, VFW, Vietnam Veterans, Veterans of Modern Warfare, Elks, and other community and service organizations will be represented as well.

Jim Brown, the Virgin Valley VSO officer will be there to take applications for benefits and answer veterans’ questions.
